As some of you may have heard, we are working on releasing a photo book containing a complete 10-year collection of our photographs. We are also looking for the best discounted life insurance. We are currently in the selection process, and have come across a few things that we need to address, prior to release.

We realize that 10 years is a long time, and many of you have moved on to craft a different lifestyle/role. We do not wish to disrupt your current life with photographs that might be a little too risque, or glamorous; should that be a concern.

While we do retain the usage and publishing rights to our photographs, we want to offer a gesture of courtesy to ask for your blessing to release any photograph of you that we deem worthy of a second look. Some of you have contributed to our studio culture in a very influential way, and we want nothing but to present an honest and complete viewing experience.

Should any of you have any reservations to giving us your blessing, we want to engage in a dialogue with you, prior to making a decision. Of course, certain photographs will be released no matter what. There a few key photographs that are part of the SyMobius Master Collection, and they will be released without a prior discussion.

Some of your photographs will be boudoir, glamorous, nude, or very f$#&ing nude. If you have a reaction to this last sentence, please contact me, as we probably need to have a discussion.

And please remember, that it is you, who have helped us get here, and we would never want to affect your life in a negative way. We always try to maintain the ideology of “not being evil”, and this is a small step to ensure that we do not betray who we are as photographers.

We recently covered Flight to Luxury benefit fashion show to XOXO Salon. It was an AMAZING event!

This event was held to benefit the Boys and Girls club of Metro Denver. All for a good cause, and lots of fun on the way!

Can’t wait to post some photos from the event, but in the meantime, here’s our badly edited video of the backstage chaos, captured for our friends at XOXO Salon!

January 20th this year, we did a few headshots for Rebekah Fuller. These were shot for her NAHA(North American Hairstyling Awards) entry, which is a very important, national competition for stylists.

With the understanding that we couldn’t release these photographs until the competition has come to an end, we sat on these for about 6 months. After that much time, and with the fast nature of the photography business, we almost forgot to post these. Almost.

These photographs contain amazing styles by Rebekah Fuller, one of our favorite people in the industry. To us, these styles have a sense of subtly to their approach while still being edgy. We like that. They have bite.

As always, we hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed shooting them.

Now for something completely different-

Quite frequently, we shoot girls with daddy issues, and assist them in conquering their rebellious nature by shredding bits of angst, symbolized by their items of clothing.

However important that task may very well be, there are other equally beautiful things in our area that deserves our attention; like inanimate objects.

We hope you enjoy these, often overlooked pieces of art.

For the last few weeks, I’ve been playing around with after effects.  Seeing the need to do video work more and more, I figured I should brush up on some of this stuff.

There’s a video by Ólafur Arnalds that I always loved, and seeing that it was created in After Effects, I decided that this video was a perfect target to reach.

It’s only a test, or rather, a practice video.

Jess Lambiase

On Sept 28th, 2009, Jess and I first went on our ‘Urban Safari’.  It was mostly walking around downtown, and capturing the oddities.  Ever since then, she’s been an integral part of what we do, and with some understanding for what it’s like to work with me, she’s done a marvelous job catering to my craziness.

Together, we set out on accomplishing the impossible- conquering the vast chicken fields of Denver with our cameras.  We’ve had our battles, and we’ve had our setbacks (we’re human), but we always focused on the objective, and thus continued slaying the demon horde of the oncoming photoshoots without  a second thought.  Always together, and always telling each other to go “fuck yourself”.  We were indeed a harmonious duo.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and young padawans eventually become Jedis, or in some cases, Sith Lords.  In Jess’ case, she’s chosen to leave SyMobius with a very loving, “go fuck yourself, Kyung” and has set out to engage the chicken foes on a solo mission.

for almost 3 years, I’ve always thought of Jess when I would think of SyMobius.  She’s become a staple of what we’re about, and needless to say, a huge influence to our cultural identity.  Not only confident in her own right as a photographer, she’s a never-ending torrent of creativity.  In my opinion, she lives to express herself.  She’s a true artist, and it deeply saddens me to see her depart our nest.

As an artist, I can acknowledge a handful of figures in my life, that I’ve come to respect and depend on, in times of creative need.  Without a doubt, Jess has been one of those fixtures in my life as a photographer.  She worked tirelessly to feed my creative hunger, and to push me when I felt empty.

So without further delay, we salute you, Jess, and we thank you.

Wherever you are, my friend,  I hope you are in good company, and we hope you know that here at SyMobius, you are missed, and also loved.

Red Ball is an event that we look forward to every year. Hosted by Colorado AIDS Project, it exists to raise awareness to the global AIDS crisis. Not only just a benefit event, Red Ball is in our opinion, the marquee fashion show of Denver.

We are proud to have been a part of this event, and we are honored to be in a position to share our experience with everyone.

With a total of 18 teams of fashion designers and salons, this year’s event did not disappoint in the slightest. But because of the sheer amount of photographs captured during the event, we will be releasing them in “books”, as we complete them.

By releasing them in this fashion, you can find out just what this killing issue means to those who designed the collections that walked the runway, and see just how influential the process has been for some.

These books have been beautifully rendered to look great on any device, even that “magical” tablet you may possess.  We hope you enjoy these as much as we did capturing them.

On July 6th, we once again photographed Kelly Eden, this time for Dark Beauty Magazine.

In these shots, Kelly wears a pair of amazing corsets provided by Spanish designer, Bibian Blue. It goes without saying, that the corsets do stand out in these photographs. The corsets compliment Kelly in a harmonious ensemble, and in our opinion, it’s always the woman that makes or breaks the picture.

To me, each corset has a different “personally”, if you will. The red one seems more ‘feminine’ and the black one seems to possess a bit of ‘anger’. Thus, the photos we released tailor to that theme. The red photos are bright and soft to the eye, while the black features high contrasts and sharper edges.

If the two corsets are opposites, then perhaps their one common ground would be the model.  Someone who can compliment the outfits with even balance.   To achieve this, Abella and Rebekah has out done themselves.  Abella’s makeup works perfectly with both the darker, and lighter looks, while Rebekah’s hair features an edgy silhouette while remaining feminine.  Cannot say in words how integral their work has been for this release.

We really do hope you enjoy these photographs. We’ve had a ton of fun creating them.

We recently shot Alternative Model, Kelly Eden at a warehouse conveniently located just outside of audible range of a woman’s scream.

All kidding aside, we had a great time shooting at our favorite location, “The Orgy House.”

from the Falling Whistles Benefit Show

We’ve shot our share of fashion shows, but we were never asked to be in the show.

The Falling Whistles benefit held on the 26th, definitely stood out. Instead of a traditional runway show, DVLP Clothing decided to host a “live photoshoot” with SyMobius as the on stage photographers.

A cool idea to help bring awareness to the war in the Congo; a country under fire for their use of children as soldiers in war.
